Mother’s Helper Policies Our Mother’s Helper service is designed to support parents while they remain at home. The helper plays with children, supervises activities, and helps keep play areas tidy while a parent is present. Parent Presence A parent or guardian must remain home at all times during the visit. This service is not a babysitting service and helpers are not responsible for emergencies or full childcare. Meet & Greet Requirement New families must schedule a brief meet-and-greet with a parent and the children before the first booking. This allows everyone to become comfortable and ensures a good fit. Scheduling New families: reservations must be made at least one week in advance. Returning families: reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. Emergency requests may be accepted depending on availability. Rates Rates are based on the child’s age: Ages 0 – Potty Trained: $8 per hour Potty Trained – Age 9: $6 per hour Rates apply per child unless otherwise agreed upon. What a Mother’s Helper Can Do Helpers can assist with: Playing games and reading with children Arts and crafts Helping supervise outdoor play Preparing simple snacks (if requested) Cleaning up toys and activities as they go Helpers cannot: Leave the home with the children Bathe children Provide medical care Discipline children beyond basic reminders or redirection Cleanup Expectations Children will be encouraged to help clean up toys and activities. Helpers will assist in keeping play areas tidy during the visit, but full household cleaning is not included. Cancellation Policy Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance: no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours: charged 50% of the scheduled time. Same-day cancellations or no-shows: charged full price. Rescheduling Appointments may be rescheduled at no charge if done more than 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling within 24 hours may incur a $5 rescheduling fee instead of cancellation charges. Payment Payment is due at the end of the visit unless another arrangement has been made. Payments accepted: CashApp, Cash, or Greenlight (scan our QR code to pay)
